RARE BISBEE BLUE TURQUOISE NECKLACE & EARRINGS SET
Bisbee Blue Turquoise nuggets, sterling silver Saucers, blue crystal spacers (man-made), sterling silver plated clasp and beadwire, two metal dragonflies signifying transformation at nape of the neck. Earrings are Sterling Silver French Hooks (marked 925), on sterling silver bead pins.
This Arizona Turquoise is called Bisbee Blue, and is a very high grade. It has an almost Lapis color with a dark matrix, with patches of light blue throughout. Bisbee Blue Turquoise is known for its unique and rare color spectrum as well as for its natural hardness. They say the darker the color, the harder it is. The color comes from being found in and around the copper mines, but Bisbee Blue has not been mined officially since 1980. I have it on good authority from a Geologist friend in Bisbee that Turquoise can still be found, and he always keeps a lookout for such a prize. Today's finds are a paler blue, but just as striking.
The energy of this stone is pure strength. Like other Turquoise, it is calming, but the feeling is one of being strong and staying strong. Resilience, beauty, strength, and depth - this set exemplifies it, and will bring it out in your being of light.
I chose the blue crystals to lighten it up and pull some of those subtle blues out for a pleasing, versatile result.
Because it's hard to match, I made matching earrings to go with the necklace.
